Rhythms to Grow: Sponsorship Opportunities
At Drums in Recovery, we believe that rhythm has the power to heal, connect, and transform lives. Each gift, whether large or small, helps us sustain our work in schools, shelters, and treatment centers, and demonstrates to other funders that our community stands behind us. Your sponsorship is not only financial support, but also a statement of belief in our mission and a visible sign of community commitment. What if a drum could change a life?
In 2016, Drums in Recovery was born from a simple yet powerful truth: music heals. Sparked by a deep passion for rhythm and a heartfelt belief in its ability to foster emotional connection, this grassroots dream has evolved into a vibrant nonprofit, bringing the transformative power of group drumming to children, teens, and adults across Central Florida.
What started with just one drum circle in a single facility soon echoed into many more. As word spread and hearts responded, doors opened. Through community fundraising, generous support, and a growing team of compassionate facilitators, Drums in Recovery began planting seeds of hope and healing wherever it was invited.
Each beat of the drum told a story of resilience, of recovery, of belonging. With every program delivered, lives were being touched. Smiles returned. Confidence grew. Communities found connections. From treatment centers and youth shelters to correctional facilities and schools, rhythm was creating change.
Today, we are proud to serve a wide range of youth and adult populations in over a dozen facilities throughout Central Florida offering trauma-informed, evidence-based music programs that promote social-emotional growth and collective healing.
From humble beginnings to a respected and growing movement, Drums in Recovery stands as a living testament to the idea that one drum, one circle, and one shared rhythm can change everything.

What is a Cross-Sector Project?
A cross-sector project is a collaborative program delivered with our community partners, schools, treatment centers, shelters, and youth-serving agencies, that integrates recovery support services with evidence-based, rhythm-based life skills training. Each project typically serves up to 20 participants across 10–15 sessions, culminating in a public drum performance and recognition ceremony where participants share testimonies and funders witness transformation firsthand. These projects focus on parenting, violence prevention, bullying awareness, substance abuse, and mental health. Participants learn new “rhythms of life” in the drum circle that translate into real-world skills such as self-regulation, conflict resolution, and empathy. Beyond the program, participants are encouraged to continue practicing these skills through support groups, mentorship, and service opportunities, often remaining connected through newly formed community circles that sustain resilience and hope.
